Policy Officer, DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion
William is a Seconded National Expert in the European Commission working on education, training and employment policy. Currently he works on the development of the new Europass framework, including the European framework for digital credentials.
William O’Keeffe is a Policy Officer at the DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion at the European Commission. He has experience in policy development in the areas of education, training and employment. He is currently working on lifelong guidance policy and initiatives on use of technology and digitalisation within education, including Europass. He also works on the area of transversal skills including entrepreneurship and digital skills. William is on secondment from the Irish Department of Education where he worked with the Irish ENIC-NARIC, and topics related to quality assurance and learning mobility.
